Our curriculum is based on the Discovery Learning model. Discovery learning is a form of inquiry-based learning and is considered a constructivist based approach to education. It is supported by the work of learning theorists and psychologists Jean Piaget, Jerome Bruner, and Seymour Papert.

When Discovery learning is applied to STEM subjects it commonly referred to as academic research.  Our goal is to model for the children what it is to be a real scientist and to take them along on a journey that ends with the discovery of new knowledge.  We will be submitting our research for publication.  Our students will be actively engaged in all aspects of the work and  will be sited as co-authors on the work and will be groomed to eventually become principle investigators on their own original projects.
